Alex is honored to be a part of this team of talented and dedicated producers whose unswerving belief in Jill’s work brought “A Tale of Two Cities” to Broadway and he is grateful to everyone who has contributed to the project along its twenty year journey, especially to Marjorie Hanna who in 1993 encouraged Jill and Alex to bring “Tale” to Indianapolis. There they co-produced the world premiere in-concert and began recording the concept album. Alex also served as director and musical supervisor for the Indy project. He is the voice of both Sydney Carton and Dr. Manette on the concept album.
As an actor Alex was in the original Broadway companies of “Les Miserables”, “Chess” & “Three Penny Opera”. He starred in two different Broadway touring productions of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and also in “Cats”. Alex was featured on “All My Children” and in the Academy Award nominated film, “Far From Heaven”.
An active concert career led Alex to Barbados and in 2002 he moved there. He performs at a dozen fundraising events each year for charitable organizations including, the Physically Challenged Irish and American Youth Team, Rotary Club of Barbados, St. Vincent DePaul Society and Because of Jenna Trust. Alex performed at the reopening ceremonies of the historic Kensington Oval and served as the first director of the Barbados National Boys Choir. In January of 2007 he opened Lexy Piano Bar, which quickly became the hottest nightspot on Barbados’ west coast. In November he plans to open another “Lexy” on the south coast. His first Christmas album is scheduled for release in October of 2009.
